In 1976 Chris began his career with Max Factor in London, where he was trained by Hollywood makeup artist Evan David, before joining Mary Quant, the leader of contemporary British fashion at the time. He rapidly rose to the top of the London scene, and by the end of the decade, Chris had shot for all the major British publications of the era.

Chris returned to Australia in the 1980's, where he continued to refine his talent as an artist, and his abilities as a communicator and educator.

Modern, relevant and always moving forward, Chris King is an artist in the true sense. Almost 40 years since his career began, Chris' experience and creativity is unmatched, and he is as enthusiastic and passionate for makeup as he was in 1976.
